Azimnagar Mission is a dream project of Firoz Alam, a Bangladeshi-born Canadian. Azimnagar is the name of a village in the Manikganj district of Bangladesh where he was born in the mid-sixties. This village and the surrounding villages were eroded and engulfed by the flood of the mighty river named the Padma.
Padma continuously engulfed village after village for more than 30 years. Many people became homeless and with no support from the Government as such. The poor people of the villages getting stranded out on the road, living in tents, under the sky without food and shelter. He witnessed the tragedy of his near and dear ones. Many of the kids have no parents, who either died or abandoned them. The children need education, food, and shelter. These vulnerable orphan children have no access to education, healthcare & food. The situation of these poor children touches him always! And created a deep-rooted desire to create touchesan infrastructure for the children free living and vocational training for orphans and disadvantaged people. His goal is to rehabilitate homeless children with Skills Development Training such as electricians, Plumbers, Welders, Car mechanics, Agriculture Training, Poultry Farming, Training IT courses. This can help the children and the local youth to be able to get a job and help their families.
To keep the name Azimnagar in society, so does history, Firoz Alam initiated this project as Azimnagar Mission. Firoz Alam did his graduation with an engineering science major in Aeronautical Engineering. He is the founder and CEO of Alpha Group, based in Toronto, Canada. He is a well-settled business entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is also the Vice President of the World Cancer Society Bangladesh. He is married to Dr. Fahmida Yasmin. The couple have two children.
Azimnagar Mission started in 2014 with a scholarship program in the school where he studied during his childhood. Scholarship funds provided the poor students will be running forever that is running in Ibrahimpur Ishwar Chandra High School. In 2019, Azimnagar Mission bought 44 decimal lands in the village of Tora, Ghior Upojila, District Manikgonj. This is and half hour's distance from the capital city Dhaka and 15 minutes from Monno Medical Hospital. Boundary walls have been completed. Electricity connection is up & running, water pump installed, internet and 24/7 security surveillance cameras are Installed.

Mr. Shamsur Rahman is the Chairman of Azimnagar Mission, Bangladesh.
To run day-to-day operations in Azimnagar Mission a local advisory committee is made with the consent of the local elderly people headed by Mr. Awal as the Chairperson who will volunteer their time in support of the project. The Mission hired a supervisor and a labourersbors to run day-to-day operations. All kinds of fruits and vegetables are planted on the premises and fish harm is running in the pond. Paultry and Mushroom farm is a part of the plan along with Biofloc Fish farming which will generate revenue for Azimnagar Mission.
